Best croissant: Pastisseria Hofman
One of the most awarded pastry shops in the whole city. Hoffman bakery is located, in "El Born" neighborhood, in the heart of Barcelona. Every morning their counter are full of croissants. From butter ones to mascarpone ones, you will always find a croissant which matches with your tastes.

Best brunch: Eat my trip
The owner is passionate about brunch culture and travel - that's why she serves unique dishes inspired by world cuisine and her travels. They serve fresh, organic and high quality ingredients. Furthermore, their dishes are unique in their presentation, always with a "wow" effect. Eat My Trip has created such a fun concept, I am always curious about their new dishes.

Best ice-cream: DelaCrem
DelaCrem was born thanks to the Italian craftsman Massimo Pignata. Its ice creams made with fresh products, without preservatives and colorings are the best in Barcelona. What characterizes them is undoubtedly its creaminess and strong flavors.

Best pizza: Parking Pizza
I wrote about this pizzeria in "The best pizza places in Barcelona", click here to read it.

Best paella: Xiringuito Escribà
I have already talked about this restaurant in another post, click here to find out more.

Best tapas bar: Perikete
Perikete Tapas is an authentic bar where you can enjoy the best tapas located in the old bazaars of Barceloneta. They offer carefully selected products, as well as an extensive wine list. A fun, different, daring place, respecting the bases of classic gastronomy: product quality, good service and a family atmosphere.

Best sushi: Sato i Tanaka
Sato i Tanaka is without any doubt the best sushi bar in Barcelona. Here you will find authentic service and food, just like in Japan. The restaurant barely fits 15 people.
Why the best? Each piece of sushi is prepared in front of you and explained by the chef.
I can only say that their eel nigiri was better than the ones eaten in japan.

Best Ramen: Ramen-ya Hiro
Ramen-ya Hiro was the first Japanese restaurant (only) dedicated to ramen in Barcelona. There are very few seats available, so there is always a long line outside. I had to wait over an hour before I could sit down, but it was worth it. As I don't eat meat, I was happy to find a fish based ramen, very tasty and original. The broth was very tasty and the homemade soba were just like the ones I was used to eat in Japan.

Best mochi: Niji
Delicious glutinous rice cakes, filled with delicate mousse of different flavors. Are different from classic Japanese moji (usually filled with anko), but they are really good. My favorites are matcha and mango & maracuya. They have a shop outside Barcelona and some corners inside shopping centers. You can find Niji very often at events and markets.

Best latin food: Caña de Azúcar
Caña de Azúcar is a typical Venezuelan restaurant where they want to convey all the genuineness, sentiment, memory and love for that land. Their concept is to serve the same dishes found on Venezuelans' tables at family lunches and dinners. In fact, most of the dishes were unknown to me. The combination of flavors was excellent, the cuisine nutritious and genuine. You must definitely try their tequeños mix appetizer.

Best cocktails: Paradiso
Paradiso is one of the most famous high level cocktail bars of Barcelona. I used to live near this bar and every evening there was a long line outside. To enter you have to go through a refrigerator door, from this you can imagine the originality of the place. The interior is characterized by wood and the ceiling studded with plant shaped lamps. Their cocktails are truly original, bordering on madness, but really good.
